Buying an olive grove in Spain is a straightforward process, but your purpose for buying a grove may involve a number of more complex considerations. Let’s go through the steps to buy a grove first.

Finding a Grove

You are going to need a real estate agent, but before you meet that agent, it will be worth your time to cruise real estate sites that offer property in Spain. I found two sites to be immensely helpful (but this is by no means a comprehensive list, and I have no financial interest in these or any other site I link in this article).

Each allows you to determine the area of Spain where you plan to grow your olives, and each has options for land listings. Also, there are some properties in Spain that are categorized as rustica. On some of these (maybe all of them), it is not possible to build a traditional house with a foundation, though you might find some properties with older houses, cottages, or ruins on them.
